Erasmus+ Experience of Students from Technical School Bjelovar in Málaga, Spain

Author: Mateo Duduković

As part of the Erasmus+ project 2025-1-HR01-KA121-VET-000321977 students from the Technical School Bjelovar had the opportunity to participate in a two-week mobility in Málaga, Spain. The call for participation was announced on October 17, 2025, and students from the 3rd and 4th grades of Computer Technician and Electrical Engineering Technician programs were selected to take part in this experience.

Travel to Spain

Our journey began on March 15th at midnight, when we departed from Bjelovar by bus to Ljubljana. From there, we took a flight to Málaga with a layover in Zurich. For many of us, this was an exciting experience, especially for those who were traveling by plane for the first time. Despite the long journey, everything went smoothly, and we safely arrived at our destination.

Internship

During our stay in Málaga, we carried out internships in companies related to our educational fields. This allowed us to gain practical experience and apply the knowledge we had learned in school. We had the opportunity to work with new technologies, develop our skills, and better understand how our professions function in a real working environment. The mentors were supportive and helped us adapt to the new workplace.

Excursions and Free Time

During the weekends, two excursions were organized. We visited Sevilla, where we explored its rich history, architecture, and culture. Another unforgettable trip was to the town of Ronda and Setenil de las Bodegas, a unique village known for its houses built into rocks.

In our free time, we socialized, explored Málaga, and enjoyed Spanish cuisine and lifestyle. These moments helped us bond as a group and create lasting friendships.

Return to Croatia

After two weeks, our mobility came to an end. We returned the same way we arrived—by plane from Málaga to Ljubljana with a layover in Zurich, followed by a bus ride back to Bjelovar. We arrived on Sunday, March 29th at 3 AM, tired but full of new experiences and memories.

Conclusion

This Erasmus+ experience was extremely valuable for all participants. We improved our professional skills, gained independence, experienced a new culture, and created unforgettable memories. It was an opportunity that we will remember for the rest of our lives, and we would gladly take part in a similar project again.
